THE BEST THING IN HISTORY

(Dedicated to Michael, written by Irene Eriksen)

I have been in Africa’s jungle

running with the Lion King

I have watched the snow melt

Enjoyed the rebirth of the spring

I have been in the Shara desert

walking with sand between my toes

I have felt how days can change

Learned that happiness comes and goes

I have been swimming among dolphins

in the depth of the green, green sea

I have met Indians

Who taught me how to set my spirit free

I have seen the Big Dipper

crystal clear late at night

I have felt the forces of nature

Thrilling me with such delight

I have read stories about pirates

fighting on the seven seas

I have heard about men

giving their life for peace

I have been to special places

Seen people with beautiful faces

I have seen hundreds of men with pretty smiles

For none of them I would walk a thousand miles

But for you Michael I have walked far and wide

Cause my love for you I could never hide

You cut and you bleed, you are just a man

But knowing you is like holding an angels hand

You have made my world a better place

Michael I love you beyond time and space

You accomplished dreams and made them real

You shared your heart and helped us heal

You make me dance on the floor in the round

Michael, in my heartbeats you are the beating sound

You are my joy, my inspiration, my light

The brightest Star that shines through the darkest night

You gave me feelings I didn't knew

so passionate though so pure and true

When you smile I simply melt

When you cry I feel the saddest I ever felt

Michael, I will pick you a Daisy flower

And with each petal you pull, you’ll discover:

She loves you, she loves you

She loves you

I have never found anything that can be compared to you

Nothing that ever can come close to you

Not even in my wildest fantasy -

cause YOU Michael, are the best thing in History!

With endless LOVE from Irene Eriksen, Norway

Condensed Autobiography Van Stone - Born Courtfighter: Journey Through Unknown Courts

Meet Newspaperman and Courtfighter Van Stone

Dear Readers,

I have been asked many, many times about how I came to be a newspaperman and courtfighter involved with the Philadelphia Front Page News, and forced to deal with the Media Delaware County Courthouse and the Philadelphia County Court. The first answer is that when I was a kid I love to read Bibles, the dictionary, and the Visual Encyclopedia of Science. Then I would write down what I read the best I could. Today, I still read these volumes. And I also love to read firefighter magazines. My first and second grade teacher, Mr. Herb Rogers, Jr., took us on a few field trips to the Philadelphia courts. Another reason is that my father could not read past second grade level literature, so I learned about writing early in my life. And I taught my dad how to read and write better when I was only a sixth grade school student.

I have written many books, articles, and opinion journals about the community, Bibles, legal matters, and Dragons. I like investigating, writing about famous people. I've written on many diverse subjects such as the Unknown Soldier, World History, Science, Myths, and Zombies. And I like to write about Historical Subjects: World Events, Cookery, Homes, Crafts, and Farming; Abraham and Sarah, Scrolls, Cleopatra, King Herod, Black Indians, John Adams, Samuel Adams, Frederick Douglas, Joseph Smith, Jr., Frederick Douglas, John Henry, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Adolf Hitler, NAACP, Jim Jones, Philadelphia, PA, and Harrisburg, PA. I like to write about Jimmy Carter and Ertha Kitt too. Some of my other opinion journals have been about Liza Minnelli, Tom Joyner, Steve Harvey, Denzel Washington, Jennifer Lopez, Will Smith, Jr., Judge Judith Sheindlin, Judge Greg Mathis, Jim Brown, LeBron James, and Michelle Obama. Also, I like to investigate stories about ordinary heroes like foster parents, firemen, (such as Philadelphia Fire Commissioner Lloyd Ayers), policemen, (such as Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey, Philadelphia Police Commissioner Office Support, Sergent Jeff Cambell), clergy, superheroes, monsters, and gargoyles. Also, I like to write historical news about greenhouses, teepees, the sari, the saxophone, the gavel, silhouettes, smoke and fire, the yoke, pillory, cats, and sables.

I hope you liked reading about my exciting Black American Indian, Independent Journey through Media Delaware County Courthouse and Philadelphia County Court Building.

Your soldier friend,

Van Stone

On Halloween, Remember Vincent Woodson And A Vigil by Gerald McNeil phillygeek74@yahoo.com

On Halloween, Remember Vincent Woodson And A Vigil by Gerald McNeil

From L to R: Van Stone, Fay Dawson, and Warren Bloom

Halloween, not spelled holloween, is the evening of October 31, the eve of All Saints’ Day, celebrated by dressing up in costumes and –playing pranks. This is from the phrase All hallows Even "All Saints’ Eve. Well, since I was a kid no one ever explained it to me that way. I did know that hallow is to make holy or sacred. The question now is, do you or I know anyone who was buried in hallowed ground?

As of late, the gun homicides and all, many a love one is buried or are about to be buried in what is considered made holy ground. Family and friends of Vincent Woodson are attempting to use Halloween night as a positive anniversary. Remember the sudden death of Woodson. Who better than to take the lead in this but Woodson’s own mother, Fay Dawson? Fay Is the Founder of the Woodson Foundation. And Fay held a Vigil, her first in the West Philly area across the state of PA, on the very evening of Tuesday, Oct. 31, ’06. In Philly, where most of the gun violence homicides are young Black American males, too one of them was Fay Dawson’s son, Vincent Michael Woodson.

Fay’s son was shot and killed, in the 300 block of East Price Street. "Vincent was not involved in a melee that happened during the early morning hours of January 9, 2005 when a group of men came to a party and started a fight," says Fay. Woodson. Vincent was only 23 years old.

He was the dad of two children.

The alleged perpetrator was caught and is currently being tried. Woodson was hoping that the Philadelphia Common Pleas Court would take action for justice. The killer was tried and convicted in the Philadelphia Common Pleas Court.

But as for Fay, this year the longing to see many kids survive the street culture has been her passion and care. Woodson’s care is so deep within that she wants to do her best not to have a child taken away on a fun night like Halloween, if she can have any say about it. And have her say, she will. If any adventure out to meet Woodson they will get to know more about what proactive duty she has been involved with to affect illegal gun activity. For quite awhile, Woodson has worked devoutly with the grievance and loss management group Mothers United Through Tragedy (MUTT). That work has paid off. Becoming stronger, Fay will lead the way to direct praying for the city’s fight to stop the violence and all the families touched by violence. On a evening to reflect about what has become sacred to all lovers of positive energy, hanging out with Fay just might be like being touched by an angel.

"When we gathered for Vincent’s funeral; we said that love is stronger than death," she said. Fay has created her forum to stretch her work as essential services for families and the community. Woodson encourages kids at After-school programs and voluntarily participates within the Phila. School District ‘s kids safety in action. The Woodson Foundation’s Community Prayer citywide Vigil was an outdoor event scheduled for Tuesday, Oct., 31, 2006, 5:00 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. at 4304 Lancaster Ave. It was also an open mic for speakers.
